What else is known about the attack? According to LCX, the hackers managed to steal $7,94 million worth of ERC-20 tokens. PeckShield, meanwhile, puts the figure at $6,8 million. The attack was carried out on the exchange's hot wallet, with USDC and native LCX tokens being the most withdrawn. The deposits and withdrawals are currently blocked on the platform.
The police and the Elliptic analytical company’s specialists have already been involved in the investigation. It is known that the hackers managed to send most of the funds to the Tornado Cash mixing service, which makes it difficult to find and track the stolen tokens. No decision has yet been made on whether the exchange will compensate users.
