What’s new? According to the Whale Alert platform, a large bitcoin investor has transferred 25 844 BTC (~$504,6 million at the Binance rate on October 8) in two transactions to an unknown wallet. He initially sent 11 299 BTC ($220,5 million) to the address and then another 14 545 BTC ($283,9 million). According to Blockchain.com, this address probably has no ties to digital asset exchanges. In total, the investor made 309 transactions worth more than $3 billion.
More details about the investor. According to BitInfoCharts, the address, which currently has a total balance of only $202,96, was the eighth-largest cryptocurrency wallet in the world in April 2021. According to the website, this address made a total of $274 million in profits from digital asset trading.
As of October 8, 09:30 UTC, BTC is trading at $19 484, down by 2,57% in 24 hours, according to crypto exchange Binance.
On August 17, Whale Alert reported a record one-time transfer of Tether (USDT) stablecoins to Binance. An unknown address sent 2,37 billion coins to the platform.
Previously, analysts at Santiment reported that by August, large Cardano investors had accumulated ADA tokens totaling $138 million. In total, whales own 0,46% of the coin’s total issue.
