New ETF with a focus on metaverses will appear in Europe
The exchange-traded fund will be added to the listings of the three exchanges as early as September 2022

What’s new? Franklin Templeton, an investment firm with $1,5 trillion in assets under management, has announced the launch of an exchange-traded fund called the Franklin Metaverse UCITS ETF focused on projects in the field of metaverses. It was announced in the company’s press release.

What else is known about the fund? The ETF repeats the dynamics of the Solactive Global Metaverse Innovation Net Total Return Index and consists of assets from companies that have (or are expected to have) a significant impact on the development of metaverses and blockchain technologies.
In September, the fund will be added to the listing on three exchanges at once: Deutsche Börse Xetra, Borsa Italiana, and the London Stock Exchange. It is also planned to register the fund in the UK, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and Sweden.
Franklin Templeton is an American investment company founded in 1947 in New York. It is one of the largest managers in the world. It provides financial services to individual and institutional investors around the world.
Previously, Jacobi Asset Management launched Europe’s spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund, the Jacobi Bitcoin ETF. It was listed on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker BCOIN in July. The asset is available to institutional and professional investors, with a fee of 1,5% per annum.
