What’s new? Brian Roberts, NFT marketplace OpenSea’s CFO, has announced that he is leaving his position. In a post on the business social network LinkedIn, the specialist stressed that he is optimistic about Web 3.0 and OpenSea, adding that he will remain with the company as an advisor.
What other statements have been made? In the post, Roberts stressed that he is proud of his accomplishments and the strength of the OpenSea finance team. He said that he had the opportunity to build the team from the ground up, personally selecting the specialists capable of changing the entire industry. Roberts emphasized that for OpenSea “the best is yet to come.”
Roberts is known to work at Lyft, Walmart, and Microsoft before joining the marketplace as CFO in December 2021. Representatives of OpenSea have not yet shared information on who will take the vacant place.
In early October, Unfolded, a market analytics company, reported that sales on OpenSea were down by 60% in Q3 this year compared to the previous reporting period.
At the end of September, it became known that the CEO of the Kraken crypto exchange Jesse Powell would leave his position in the next few months due to a conflict with the employees. His position will be taken by Kraken COO Dave Ripley.
