Wirex platform has opened access to cryptocurrency trading to residents of Ukraine

What’s new? The residents of Ukraine will be able to buy and exchange cryptocurrencies on the UK-based Wirex platform. The company has opened access to creating savings accounts based on DeFi products. This is reported by Liga.Tech.

What does the platform offer? The Ukrainian users who have confirmed their account will be able to trade digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, through the Wirex application. X-Accounts, which are savings cryptocurrency accounts based on DeFi, will also be available. They allow to earn up to 16% compound interest on selected currencies per year
What does the company’s representative say? Ruslan Kolodyazhny, CTO Wirex, said that the organization plans to issue a plastic card allowing to pay with cryptocurrency for goods and services from the Ukrainian merchants. He explained why the company decided to give Ukrainians access to the platform:
“Ukraine is in the top 3 countries for the adoption of cryptocurrencies, and we have been planning to enter this market for a long time because we consider it promising. Moreover, it is our Ukrainian developers who create the Wirex fintech product, which is already used by more than 4 million users worldwide. Our goal is to show that digital currencies are easy and convenient.”
