What’s new? The streaming service Netflix announced on Twitter that the company has approved a documentary series about Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein and Heather Morgan, who hacked the Bitfinex exchange. The creators of the series “Tiger King” and a documentary about the music festival “FYRE” have been appointed as producers.
What are the details about the series? The documentary will tell the story of a married couple who stole 120 000 BTC from the Bitfinex exchange in 2016. Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather Morgan were arrested by the law enforcement agencies last week and face up to 25 years in prison.
While there is not much information about Lichtenstein on social media, Morgan has been running a whole blog. She had an active TikTok and Instagram, and Heather also performed music under the pseudonym Razzlekhan. She worked as a correspondent for Forbes, for which she wrote several articles, including “Protect Your Business from Cybercriminals.”
