What’s new? Changpeng Zhao, the founder of the Binance exchange, has been named the richest person in the crypto industry by Forbes magazine. His fortune was estimated at $65 billion. The ranking includes 19 billionaires who got rich working in the field of blockchain and digital assets.

Who else made the top three? Sam Bankman-Fried, the co-founder and head of the FTX exchange, came in second in the ranking. The entrepreneur has a fortune of $24 billion. In third place was Brian Armstrong, the CEO of the Coinbase platform, with a fortune of $6,6 billion.
What had happened before? In December, the publication included 15 cryptocurrency leaders in its “30 Under 30” list, including Sam Bankman-Fried and Brian Tubergen, the co-founder of the US initial token offering platform and the CoinList exchange. Also included in the ranking were the Alamada Research board of directors co-chairs Caroline Ellison and Sam Trabucco, and the OpenSea co-founder Alex Atallah.
