What are the conditions? The 3-weeks program started on November 1. To take part in the “Royal Perks” program, it is necessary to spend $5 to order food in-store, on the app or website, and then get one token from the cryptocurrency pool.
Apart from joining the program, customers need to open an account with Robinhood to receive crypto rewards. In total, 20 Bitcoin, 200 Ethereum and 2 million Dogecoin have been prepared for rewards. The distribution is rated only at fast food chain users from the USA.
What does the Robinhood's representative say? Commenting on the partnership with Burger King, Robinhood head of partnerships Vikram Grover said:
“Cryptocurrencies have become an important part of the financial world over the last decade. However, many Americans interested in this asset class don’t know how to start their journey or feel that the system isn’t built for them. [This promotion will be] reaching a new – and existing – audience for us, and we hope to help people start their crypto journey and take their first bite into crypto.”
What preceded the action? In September, Burger King launched its own NFT collection for “Keep It Real Meals”. The campaign consisted of unlocking digital collectibles through QR codes that were printed on 6 million meal boxes.
