What’s new? Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will merge the functionality of its Coinbase Pro service for professional traders to the platform’s main app. An upgraded version of the integrated service Advanced Trade will be launched in the exchange’s mobile app in the coming weeks, the company’s representatives said in a blog post.

Announcement on the Coinbase blog

Details of the upgrade. The Coinbase Pro service was launched in 2018, it provides tools to conduct technical analysis and place trades directly via the exchange’s order book. At the same time, the Coinbase website and app offer staking and borrowing features, wallet, and the exchange’s debit card account. The company noted that customers often use both services to access all features, which may cause difficulties when transferring funds between them.

Advanced Trade offers in-depth technical analysis, charts based on TradingView, as well as an improved order placement feature.

“Over the next several months, we will continue to launch new upgrades to Advanced Trade before beginning to sunset Coinbase Pro. For customers holding funds on Coinbase Pro, there is no action to take- funds will remain safe on Coinbase,” the company explained.

On June 1, Coinbase published a list of new tokens that are available for deposit and withdrawal to the cold wallets of the Coinbase Custody service. The platform now supports Victoria (VR), Covalent (CQT), SelfKey (KEY), Quantstamp (QSP), Smart MFG (MFG), Syntropy (NOIA), DeXe (DEXE), and Hegic (HEGIC). However, trading of these assets on the exchange itself is still unavailable.
