What’s new? The US crypto exchange Gemini has acquired the BITRIA digital assets portfolios management platform, formerly known as Blockchange. The users will be able to store cryptocurrency and manage their stocks from a single interface, CNBC reports.
What is known about the projects’ merger? According to Dave Abner, Gemini’s global head of business development, the company has acquired the five-year-old San Francisco-based startup to integrate its stock portfolios management features. The move will create one of the industry's first full-service digital asset holding platforms. The financial details remain undisclosed. Abner stated:
“Many advisors [Registered Investment Advisor] currently have limited access to just one or two cryptocurrencies through closed-end funds and spot crypto ETFs in jurisdictions where they are available. Today we are unlocking access to the full digital asset ecosystem for the wealth management community.”
