Hennessy announces the drop of its own NFT collection

What’s new? Hennessy Cognac House will release a limited-edition collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) called Paradis Golden Edition. The NFT drop will take place on September 23, with a total of 500 tokens will be issued, each token will be priced at 1,96 ETH ($2534 at the Binance rate as of September 22, 10:50 UTC). The token entitles the holder to receive a 700 ml bottle of the exclusive Hennessy Paradis cognac.

More details about the new collection. Hennessy’s NFTs will be released on the BlockBar platform. The service’s representatives claim that they are the world’s first NFT marketplace for luxury wines and spirits.
The next drop of the cognac company’s tokens will take place in December 2022, while holders of the first NFTs will be able to purchase them 24 hours earlier.
What happened before? New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) reported plans to buy NFTs. The museum plans to spend part of the proceeds from the sale of late William Paley’s collection, founder of the CBS broadcasting network. The expected proceeds amount to $70 million.
