What’s new? Nuvei, a Canadian payments company, has partnered with the hardware wallet maker Ledger, CryptoPotato reports. Ledger’s users will be able to buy cryptocurrencies with the Ledger Live application via payment systems Visa, Mastercard, SEPA, and SWIFT. The integration will eliminate the need for external exchanges and payment gateways to purchase cryptocurrencies.
What preceded it? In May last year, Nuvei bought Simplex for $250 million. The deal gave the company a license to issue electronic money (EMI) within the European Union. Last December, Nuvei partnered with Visa to launch a crypto debit card designed to simplify the process of transferring fiat funds into and out of cryptocurrencies
What is known about Ledger? It is a French company that specializes in producing hardware crypto wallets that allow cryptocurrency to be stored securely without an internet connection.
