What else is known? The hacker seized control of the bridge and stole various amounts in USDC, USDT, and DAI stablecoins, as well as ETH tokens and wrapped bitcoins. In total, 898 300 USDC, 257 800 USDT, 60 400 DAI, 539,9 ETH, and 0,79 WBTC were withdrawn from the protocol as a result of the attack.

All funds were then converted to ETH and sent to crypto mixer Tornado Cash, which was on the US sanctions list from August 2022 to January 2025 for laundering assets of DPRK Lazarus Group hackers linked to a government weapons program.

The Nervos Network team has suspended the contracts and launched an investigation into the incident, promising to provide an update as soon as possible.
