What’s new? The law enforcement officers of Massachusetts, USA, arrested Binh Thanh Le for trafficking in illegal substances and seized 59 bitcoins from him. That is $2,3 million at the exchange rate on March 14. , the Boston Herald newspaper reports.

How did events develop? In June 2019, Le, along with two accomplices, was charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute illegal substances. During a search, the law enforcement agencies found more than $114 000 in cash and another $42 000 from the sale of a used car and 59 BTC. The cryptocurrency was worth $200 000 in June 2019.
Cryptocurrencies and cash have now been confiscated and the criminal has been convicted. Following his imprisonment, Le will be supervised by the law enforcers for a further three years.
