What’s new? On December 14, the team of the Trust Wallet crypto wallet announced the integration of the application with the THORChain multichain liquidity protocol. Customers will now be able to exchange digital assets between different blockchains without fees. Currently, this feature is only available for Android devices. Support for iOS will appear in the near future.

What else is known about the integration? Adding THORChain swaps to Trust Wallet allows for the more affordable exchange of crypto assets without the need to use special protocols or conduct transactions in fiat, the latter often requiring a verification process (KYC) and can result in paying higher fees. Also, users do not have to block assets in cross-chain bridges before exchanging, this method is considered insecure and risky, the project team stressed. The exchange takes place directly in the Trust Wallet app.
Users can exchange between 8 blockchains using Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), including Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Gnosis, and Fantom. ETH can be exchanged for any ERC-20 tokens.
In August, the social network Instagram added support for Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow networks, as well as Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet wallets.
