What’s new? On February 28, the rate of the GMM token of the Gamium project soared by 335%, to $0,00265852. The growth occurred after the publication of information about the project’s participation in the Metaverse Activation Programme with Meta and Telefonica. This program was launched in 2022 to develop metaverses and aims to empower and scale startups in the virtual worlds and Web 3.0 industry. Despite rising more than 4 times, GMM is trading 80% below its all-time high of $0,01290959 set in April 2022.
What else is known? The Metaverse Activation Program provides companies with access to Meta technologies, including the Meta Quest Pro headset, Telefonica’s open innovation system, and potential investments, as well as expert sessions. The program aims to explore new uses for metaverses and support their underlying technologies: blockchain and artificial intelligence.
The Gamium project creates the world’s largest interoperable protocol for secure identification and financial management. With it, users will be able to work on the Internet with their digital identity, conducting data transfers and payments with one click. Any application can easily integrate with digital identities with a few lines of code.
Also participating in the program are enterprise Gamelearn, a platform for corporate training, Crossmint, a non-fungible token (NFT) infrastructure developer, Matsuko, creator of the world’s only real-time software-only solution for holographic presence.
Also on February 28, the Binance exchange listed the LQTY token in the Innovation Zone, after which its exchange rate jumped by 99,4% to $1,99.
In January, the Linux Foundation announced the launch of the Open Metaverse Foundation to create a framework and space for various industries to collaborate on open-source software development and standards for an inclusive, global, and scalable metaverse.
