What is known about the project? Opportunity will be an additional off-chain computation layer on zkSync's Layer 2 main network and will be compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Matter Labs added that the Opportunity prototype will be unveiled in Q1 2023.

What is known about zkSync? The L2 solution, built on ZK Rollups, provides faster and cheaper transactions on the Ethereum network using the Zero-knowledge (ZK) proof protocol. In March, zkSync announced the launch of zkEVM, a Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine rollup. In the first week of November, the project will provide information about its native token.

The first company to announce the next level of scalability was StarkWare, in late December 2021, it announced plans to launch the L3 network, StarkNet.
