OKX cryptocurrency exchange became a partner of McLaren Racing

What’s new? The OKX cryptocurrency exchange has struck a multi-year deal with the Formula 1 team, McLaren Racing. OKX branding will appear on McLaren cars, as well as on the suits and helmets of drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo at the opening ceremony of the Miami Grand Prix. The competition will take place from May 6 to May 8 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, SportBusinnes reports.

What is known about the partnership? OKX, according to the team representatives, will become McLaren Racing’s biggest partner under the deal, which will run from 2022 to 2026. The financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
What is known about OKX? The exchange was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Seychelles. More than 350 tokens and 520 trading pairs are available on the platform, with fee free conversion, as well as perpetual swaps, futures, and options.
What events happened before? In March, English Premier League club Manchester City signed an agreement with the OKX cryptocurrency exchange, under which it will become the official partner of the football team. Earlier this year, the club announced the construction of its stadium in the metaverse.
In February, the Washington Nationals, a US baseball team, entered into a sponsorship deal with Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), the underlying Terra ecosystem. The deal includes title sponsorship of the premier club space at Nationals Park and sets the stage for future blockchain and cryptocurrency applications for fans.
