According to Whale Alert, a platform that tracks large cryptocurrency transactions, unknown investors made three transactions to transfer 158 million Ripple (XRP) tokens totaling $74,28 million on October 27. The largest transfer from Luxembourg crypto exchange Bitstamp to an unknown wallet exceeded $32,28 million (more than 68 million XRP tokens).

What else is known about the transfers? Another unknown wallet, on the contrary, put assets on Bitstamp. The transaction amounted to $27,91 million (60 million XRP).

The third transfer of $14,09 million (30 million XRP) was made from an unknown wallet to the Mexican crypto exchange Bitso.

Ripple is a payment protocol for exchanging currencies and making transactions. It is used by government financial institutions in Australia, Canada, and Israel. XRP ranks sixth in the ranking of cryptocurrencies by market capitalization with a figure of $23,558 billion. As of 10:10 UTC, the asset is trading at $0,4696, having gained 1,19% per day, according to Binance.

In September, the popularity of XRP grew by 38% in three months, according to the LunarCrush platform. From September 16 to September 23, the rate of XRP rose by 61% as a result of the possible termination of the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s legal case.
